We would rather send you to the reviews themselves than curate a wall of compliments. Below: the rating, the themes that come up again and again, and the links to read every word.

  • You are actually taught

The most common remark is the simplest: someone watched me, corrected me, and explained why. Small groups make that possible, and it is the reason people come back on their second day rather than trying the next studio.

  • Traditional, not a workout

Guests arrive expecting a fitness class and find pranayama, relaxation, chanting and philosophy sitting alongside the asanas. Several say it was the first time yoga made sense as a whole practice rather than a set of shapes.

  • Beginners are not left behind

People with no experience regularly say they were nervous and then fine — given a version of each posture they could hold, and never made to feel like the slowest person in the room.

  • Two hours that change the day

The class is long by modern standards. Visitors mention the deep relaxation at the end, and how the rest of their day in Kochi moves differently afterwards.

  • Trainees leave able to teach

Graduates of the month-long course talk about the teaching practice — standing up, using their voice, sequencing a class, being corrected honestly — more than about their own postures.

  • An easy place to find and to leave

No contracts, no memberships, no pressure to book a package. You walk in, you practise, you pay for the class. Travellers say that is rarer than it should be.
